'...In short, the western alliance is getting entangled in an impossible situation through its support for Israel. Russia’s involvement has been limited to reassuring her Muslim population and the Muslim nations to her south by voicing the two state solution. Iran is taking a different view, as demonstrated by her Hezbollah mouthpiece, Hassan Nasrallah in a widely anticipated speech last week. He did not actually declare war, pointing out that Hezbollah was already skirmishing with the Israelis in Northern Israel. It was what Nasrallah did not say, which was important: Hezbollah was already at war, which is likely to escalate without a formal declaration.
Instead of just standing by, Iran is likely to become more directly involved. And in these circumstances, if the US is drawn into attacking Hezbollah or Iran, it is difficult to see how such an escalation can succeed. Iran has very sophisticated weaponry and knows the precise locations of US assets in Northern Syria and Iraq. Furthermore, it can easily block the Straits of Hormuz, depriving the world of oil and natural gas.
With the dying of American influence, Iran now counts among its supporters the Saudis, and pretty much the entire Muslim world. And it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that an escalation of these tensions would lead to the closure of either the Red Sea at Bab-el-Mandeb or Suez, or both.
Will the US risk provoking Iran and the Houthis in Yemen to close off these choke points? Common sense and Blinken’s attempts at diplomacy say no. But if that is the case, Israel’s very survival could be threatened. No wonder it will suit Putin and his partner President Xi to stay well clear of this dispute. Time will tell as to how this plays out. But it is the economic consequences which matter to us, and for that matter to the Asian hegemons as well...' Playing into Putin’s hands – again

Israel's Intent to 'Genocide Palestinians' in Gaza 'Is Very Clear' - Journalist
The Invasion of Gaza: Part of a Broader Israeli Military-Intelligence Agenda
Is this punishment on Gaza’s civilian population, prompted by desire for vengeance? Or is it an outpouring of eschatological rage and determination? 'Few take notice, but the propaganda game of the Western elites has become a bludgeon. From the titles of newspaper articles to the catchy leads we see previewed by Google News, the controlling class of the Western world is hammering the greatest lie in history into the brains of the ordinary folk of the world. The latest subtle cranium smashing comes from none other than Foreign Policy Magazine. “The Israel-Hamas War’s New Phase,” which I received notice of via my email inbox, is the perfect example. It’s time to examine who exactly is in control of America’s war machine and what the ultimate goals are.
In the article above, the editors of F.P. manage to mop up the thousands of gallons of blood flowing out from under Gaza rubble by detaching Israel and Hamas from the operations which murder innocents. For those who cannot see it, this war is now developing its own strategies, killing strikes, and the phases of each, according to Washington thinkers. It’s a living entity. It’s as if the extermination of Palestinians to get to a relatively few Hamas killers is the responsibility, not Bibi Netanyahu or Ismail Abdel Salam Ahmed Haniyeh, but to some miraculous unseen force. You see it now, don’t you?
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin says America and the rest of the West are behind the Middle East’s biggest calamity since the Arab Spring. However, for once, it seems Mr. Putin may be holding back on just who the real perpetrators are. The Russian president told a television audience in Russia that the “ruling elites of the U.S.” and their “satellites” stood behind the killing of Gaza’s Palestinians and behind conflicts in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.” Most analysts misconstrue Putin’s comments to mean that Washington is behind the whole bloody mess.
Mr. Putin is correct in his assessment, but it’s not Washington think tanks and Menlo Park technocrats running this new type of fascism. “The U.S. supports Israel’s” new killing phase in the F.P. story, but the United States is not running anything in the Middle East. The Zionists all over the world are. Sure, the United States and her allies are standing in the wings, waiting for Bibi’s troops to wade into the Gaza open-air prison. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, the former head of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Joseph L. Votel, laments the “bloody” work of digging Hamas out of the network of tunnels beneath Gaza. The “elites” President Putin is talking about are not pasty-skinned computer company moguls...'

Israel is continuously squeezing the 2.3 million people in Gaza towards the Egyptian border
'Israeli popular sentiment -- even amongst former liberals -- is moving toward a Greater Nakba. Gaza is under Nakba pressures. So is the West Bank, as settler violence against Palestinians surges. Even a ‘liberal’ such as former opposition leader Lapid now agrees that ‘settlers’ in the occupied West Bank are not ‘settlers’ at all, since the land is but the ‘Biblical land of Israel’. Nakba ‘ambitions’ are widening to South Lebanon (up to the Litani River) too. The radical members of Netanyahu’s government say Israelis will never return to the kibbutz adjacent to Lebanon, without Hezbollah’s removal from the border area. So, the call is heard for "Israel" to ‘take’ Lebanon up to the Litani (a key water source) -- and ‘serendipitously’ the Israeli air force has begun operating up to 40 kms inside Lebanon. Cabinet members now openly speak of the IOF needing to turn its attention to Hezbollah once Hamas has been ‘obliterated’.... Plainly, the White House is struggling to avoid the slide towards full regional war, as both the Lebanese front and the Iraqi front heats up: On Sunday, Iraqi movements again fired missiles at the American base in Shaddadi. "Israel" is sensing the present crisis to be both an existential risk, but an ‘opportunity’ too – an opportunity to establish "Israel" across ‘its Biblical lands’ over the long term.
There is no mistaking it -- this is the direction of travel of Israeli popular sentiment, from both Left and Right wings, to bloody eschatology...'

Health Ranger: 'To all conservative and pro-liberty influencers: Don't you dare talk about FREEDOM ever again if you won't support freedom for the Palestinian people. If you don't support freedom for others, you don't deserve it for yourself. And for those who have long claimed to be supporters of “free speech” but who now demand censorship of all criticism of Israel, you are a FRAUD. You never believed in free speech in the first place.'
'If you support Israel in 2023, you also would have supported the Third Reich in 1939. They both make the same arguments, using almost identical propaganda, lies and censorship, to exterminate an ethnic group they decry as sub-human animals. “Never again,” it turns out, just meant, “until we have the power to commit genocide ourselves.” SHAME on all who remain silent as another ethnic cleansing atrocity unfolds in real time, right before our eyes. And for those deceived Christian Zionists who think GOD told you to slaughter in His name, rest assured that Christ does not recognize you at all.'

The head of the aid organization that runs the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, now under sustained assault by Israeli forces, wrote a letter to Pres. Biden: “You have destroyed the international rules of the game, insulted the authority of the UN, torn apart the sense of justice, and hurt human values, and tarnished the face of human civilization.”
'The regional war is here. The Axis of Resistance assesses that the US and Israel intend to prolong the Gaza war indefinitely, and determines that a regional escalation is now unavoidable...' '...She forgets that her own ancestry mirrors the Palestinians, not the Israelis. She is representing the interests of the masters, while denying the oppressed people’s rights. Thomas-Greenfield is the great granddaughter of Mary Francoise, who was born in 1865 in Louisiana. Mary was born after the civil war ended, but she was not born into freedom; her mother had been a slave, and even though the war ended, it would be decades before any African Americans were given their rights. Mary Francoise might as well have been born in the Occupied West Bank, or Gaza. Her life and the lives of Palestinians today have a great deal in common. She lived in a land where the colonial government in Washington, DC. had two separate codes of justice and human rights. The White European settlers came to Virginia in 1607 and shortly were bringing thousands of enslaved Africans. The Native Americans were deprived of all human rights, and many were kept as slaves...'
Press Release 21 November 2023
Brussels/Jerusalem Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is horrified by the killing of two MSF doctors, Dr Mahmoud Abu Nujaila and Dr Ahmad Al Sahar, and a third doctor, Dr Ziad Al-Tatari, following a strike earlier today on Al-Awda hospital, Gaza, Palestine. Our thoughts are with their families and all colleagues mourning their death. Al-Awda is one of the last remaining functional hospitals in northern Gaza. Dr Abu Nujaila and Dr Al Sahar were in the hospital when it was hit on the third and fourth floors. Other medical staff, including MSF staff, were also severely injured. MSF has regularly shared information about Al-Awda as a functioning hospital and the presence of our staff there to the warring parties. GPS coordinates were also shared with Israeli authorities yesterday. We condemn this strike in the strongest terms, and call yet again for the respect and protection of medical facilities, staff and patients.
At time of writing, more than 200 patients are still in Al-Awda hospital and are unable to receive the level of care they need. These patients must be urgently and safely evacuated to other hospitals that are still functioning. However, all hospitals in Gaza have been working beyond their capacity since October due to ongoing supply shortages, attacks on facilities and extremely high numbers of patients.
This latest strike is yet another incident that MSF staff have been subjected to in the last few days. Our colleagues, who are assisting hundreds of patients in Gaza, are facing an extremely difficult situation in providing the little medical care they can. Seeing doctors killed next to hospital beds is beyond tragic, and this must stop now.
Attacks on medical facilities are a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law, and these have become systematic in recent weeks. We reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire to prevent more deaths in Gaza – now more than ever. We also urge for the lifting of the siege, and the protection of medical facilities and medical staff.
MSF has been working in Al-Awda hospital since 2018, providing reconstructive surgery for adults and trauma surgery for children. We pay tribute to the courage of our colleagues who continue to work there in the face of horrific violence. We mourn the loss of Dr Abu Nujaila and Dr Al Sahar; we will always remember them.

3rd quarter GDP is being reported as coming in/being revised higher that expected, and the MSM is using this as propaganda to push the “strong economy” agenda. If you were to strip out US Government spending/funding for war(s) alone, both the Ukraine and Israel wars, that alone would cut this so called “strong” number in half. '...This is western civilization. This is what it looks like. Western civilization, where Julian Assange awaits his final appeal in February against US extradition for journalism which exposed US war crimes. Where we are fed a nonstop deluge of mass media propaganda to manufacture our consent for wars and aggression which have killed millions and displaced tens of millions in the 21st century alone. Where we are kept distracted by vapid entertainment and artificial culture wars so we don’t think too hard about what this civilization is and who it is killing and maiming and starving and exploiting. Where news cycles are dominated more by celebrity gossip and Donald Trump’s latest mouth farts than by the mass atrocities that are being actively facilitated by western governments. Where liberals congratulate themselves for having progressive views on race and gender while the officials they elect help rip apart children’s bodies with military explosives. Where Zionist Jews center themselves and their emotions because opposition to an active genocide makes them feel like they are being persecuted, and where Israel supporters who are not Jewish still kind of feel like they are being persecuted also. Where a giant globe-spanning empire powered by militarism, imperialism, capitalism and authoritarianism devours human flesh with an insatiable appetite while we congratulate ourselves on how much better we are than nations like Iran or China. These are western values. This is western civilization.
Ask somebody to tell you what their values are and they’ll give you a bunch of pleasant-sounding words about family and love and caring or whatever. Watch their actions to see what their actual values are and you’ll often get a very different story. That’s us. That’s western civilization. We say we value freedom, justice, truth, peace and free expression, but our actions paint a very different picture. The real western values, the actual product inside the box underneath the attractive label, are the ones you see acted out in Gaza today.'

HEZBOLLAH LEADER HASSAN NASRALLAH ON GAZA AND LEBANON
The rapid entry of the Lebanese front into the battle caused the Israeli enemy to lose the element of surprise. The most important message of the resistance in Lebanon on October 8 and 9 is that it is a strong, courageous resistance and is not deterred or has any calculations in defending its country. What happened yesterday were two aggressions: an attack on Sheikh Saleh and his companions, and an attack on the southern suburbs. Until now, we are fighting on the front with precise calculations, so we are paying a high price in the lives of our youth. If the enemy launches a war on Lebanon, our fighting will be without ceilings, limits, rules and controls. Whoever thinks about war with us will regret it, as war with us is very, very expensive. The assassination of Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri is a dangerous crime that will not remain without response and punishment. Between us and you is the field, the days and the nights.
For three months we have seen sacrifices, displacements in Gaza and southern Lebanon and elsewhere. When we see the volume of the positive consequences of all these sacrifices we realize the volume of the sacrifices themselves. Of the blessings of the Al-Aqsa Flood: destroying the humane image the Americans worked on creating of themselves in the Arab region; today, the war on Gaza is an American one, the bombs are American, the decision is American. The world knows this today.” There is no place for any settler in Palestine. The one carrying a British citizenship will be told to return to Britain, the French to France, the American to the US. Palestine, from the river to the sea, is for the Palestinian people only! Israel has fallen morally, legally, and humanely, and in the eyes of all peoples of the world, it is a killer of children and women, displaces people, and is responsible for the largest genocide of the current century.
I summarize what American Israeli officials and generals, and even in the Arab and Islamic world, are saying: 1- the return of the Palestinian question after it had been forgotten. The whole world is looking for a two-state solution. 2- the October 7 operation proved that Israeli control is over in Gaza and the West Bank. The operation of October 7 made the Israelis understand that they are facing a people who will never forget their cause, that this new generation of the internet will not forget either. 3- despite the bombings and massacres, resistance is strengthened. Its image is reinforced among the Palestinian people. They thought the people would turn against the resistance but no. Especially Hamas which benefits from the highest rate of support in history. 4- the image of Israel is destroyed in the world. Despite the support of the American, Western and even Arab media which did everything to show Israel as a democratic model. Israel today the murderer of women's children, who starves and deports an entire people, in the eyes of the whole world. Even the American youth controlled by the Zionist media, the blood of women and children has its effect and that of course thanks to the power of social networks which have turned against their creators. +50% of American youth want to dismantle Israel and return land to the Palestinians. 5- the normalization of Israel and its relations with the world is over. 6- the international scene, the international laws that we have been asked to respect. 153 countries around the world demand a ceasefire from the United Nations and Israel and only 10 countries refuse. Who do not respect international laws? 7- The marginalization of Israeli pouvoir qui a to habitude de terroriser his voices for their abdiquent. This strategy does not have any functions until October 7th and then comes to the front of the country in Lebanon and Yemen. 8- The end of the story of the Israeli military force. After 7 October, this is the end. 9- The end of the Israeli army’s home. There is an essay on the strength of Saleh Al Arouri who has been given permission. 10- The end of the force is Israeli. Me on a petit territoire as gas. They are different. 11- The final confiance of Israeli people in their country and their neighbors. This is where people live in Israel. Israël does not see him and if Israel leaves him alone. The place where the land is is a chimney that will help you live in Israel. The civil servants are succèdent in Liban, Yemen, Irak, Syria and while these people exist in the country. Israel is an artistic country, its people are a national citizen, and their parents have entered previously. Here you don't have a future, from the river to the sea the land of Palestine is for the Palestinian people, and the Palestinian people only. You want to stay here? That's very difficult. If you want to be secure, you want to feel secure, you have an American passport go back to the United States, You have a British passport go back to the UK. -Sulaiman Ahmed

'I am writing to flag a truly important document that should be widely circulated and read carefully by anyone interested in the ongoing Gaza War. Specifically, I am referring to the 84-page “application” that South Africa filed with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on 29 December 2023, accusing Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza...'
'It honestly blows my mind that there are still people adamantly supporting Israel after all this. After all the people they’ve killed. After all the lies they’ve been caught in. After all their comments endorsing genocide and ethnic cleansing, and all their actions showing they mean it. If you’re still supporting Israel at this point, you’re just telling everyone you don’t care about truth or morality. You’re announcing to the world that you care only about your weird ideological agendas and geopolitical control. You are publicly proclaiming that you are a dogshit human being. That you have lived on this earth all these years without arriving at any level of emotional or psychological maturity. That you have wasted your life on this planet...'
Facts are destroying the fiction
'...Today Hizbullah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has given another speech. He emphasized the successes of the campaign which Hizbullah started on October 8 2023, a day after Hamas' latest revolt against Israel, along the Lebanese border with Palestine. On the longer than 100 kilometer front all Israeli military bases have been targeted, as well as its settlements, with a total of 670 operations. 48 border posts have been targeted 495 times as well as 50 posts behind the borderline. 17 settlements, where Israeli soldiers went into hiding, have also been attacked. Technical surveillance equipment with a cost above a $100 million has been destroyed. The resistance published 90 videos and photos that showed the destruction of Israeli tanks and other vehicles. Israeli media is silent about the resistance successes. The eight Israeli hospitals nearest to the border have taken in some 2,000 wounded soldiers. 230-300,000 settlers have fled from northern Israel. 120,000 Israeli soldiers have to stay in the north to secure the border.
Nasrallah also empathized that the various resistance members can bring advantages to their respected homelands (Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen). Since 1948 it was Israel that displaced Lebanese people and built security zones on Lebanese land. Today the settlers are fleeing and Israel is building a security belt on its side of the border. Should the situation in Lebanon escalate it will have a chance to regain all its land that Israel still occupies. In Iraq the resistance now has a chance to again kick the U.S. out. The U.S. claims to be there to fight ISIS but ISIS is a U.S. product. In Yemen the resistance is winning international applause and respect for its Ansar Islam (Houthi) government. All resistance countries are in danger of Israeli attacks should the resistance in Gaza be defeated. Helping Gaza is thereby in the interest of all those countries.
Nasrallah closed his speech with the typical greetings to the martyrs and their families. All together Nasrallah was in a good mood. He seems to think that Israel is currently deterred from attacking Lebanon. But even if it were to attack Lebanon Hizbullah would use it as an opportunity to better its position.'

Hundreds of millions of people across the world have been deeply moved by the atrocity of the Israeli war on Palestine. Millions have attended marches and protests, many of them participating in such demonstrations for the first time in their lives. Social media, in almost all the world’s languages, is saturated with memes and posts about this or that terrible action. Some people focus on the Israeli attack on Palestinian children, others on the illegal targeting of Gaza’s health infrastructure, and yet others point to the annihilation of at least four hundred families (more than ten people in each family killed). The focus of attention does not seem to be diminishing. Holidays in December went by, but the intensity of the protests and the posts remained steady. No attempt by social media companies to turn the algorithm against the Palestinians succeeded, no attempt to ban the protests—even the display of the Palestinian flag—worked. Accusations of antisemitism fell flat and demands for the condemnation of Hamas were dismissed. This is a new mood, a new kind of attitude toward the Palestinian struggle.
Never before in the 75 previous years has there been such sustained attention to the cause of the Palestinians and of Israeli brutality. Israel has launched eight bombing campaigns on Gaza since 2006. . And Israel has built up an entire illegal structure against the Palestinians in East Jerusalem and the West Bank (an apartheid wall, settlements, checkpoints). When Palestinians have tried to resist—whether through civic action or armed struggle—they have faced immense violence from the Israeli military. Ever since social media has been available, images from Palestine have circulated, including of the use of white phosphorus against civilians in Gaza, and including the arrest and murder of Palestinian children across the Occupied Palestine Territory. But none of the previous acts of violence evoked the kind of response from around the world as this violence that began in October 2023.
Genocide
The Israeli armed violence against Gaza since October has been in a qualitatively different form than any previous violence. The bombardment of Gaza was vicious, with Israeli aircraft hitting residential areas with no concern for civilian life. The number of dead increased day by day at a rate not seen before. Then, when Israeli ground forces entered Gaza, they effected an illegal mass eviction of the Palestinian civilians from their homes and pushed them further and further south toward the border with Egypt. The Israelis violated their own promises of “safe zones,” hitting areas more densely packed than before because of the internal displacement. It was this scale of violence that provoked an early use of the term “genocide” to describe what was happening in Gaza. By early January, more than 1 percent of the entire Palestinian population in Gaza had been killed, while over 95 percent had been displaced. The kind of violence used here was not seen in any contemporary war, neither in Iraq (where the U.S. disregarded most laws of war) nor in Ukraine (where the death toll of civilians is far smaller despite the war now lasting two years).
The momentum of mass protest pushed the government of South Africa to file a dispute in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israel for the crime of genocide. Both countries are parties to the 1948 Convention Against Genocide, and the ICJ is the venue for dispute settlements. The 84-page filing by the South African government documents many of the atrocities perpetrated by Israel, and also, crucially, the words of Israeli high officials. Nine pages of this text (pp. 59 to 67) list the Israeli officials in their own words, many of them calling for a “Second Nakba” or a “Gaza Nakba,” a use of the term “Nakba” or Catastrophe that refers to the 1948 Nakba of the Palestinians from their homes that led to the creation of the State of Israel. These words are chilling, and they have been widely circulated since October. Racist language about “monsters,” “animals,” and the “jungle” shape the speeches and statements by these Israeli government officials. Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on October 9, 2023, that his forces are “imposing a complete siege on Gaza. No electricity, no food, no water, no fuel. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals, and we are acting accordingly.” This, along with the character of the Israeli military strikes, is sufficient as a benchmark for the accusation of genocide. At the hearing at the ICJ, Israel was unable to respond credibly to the South African complaint.
It is a combination of the images from Gaza and the words of these Israeli high officials—backed fully by the United States government and many of the governments of European states—that provoked the sustained anger and desolation that has driven these mass protests.
Legitimacy
Over the course of the past two years—from the start of the war in Ukraine until now—there has been a rapid decline in the legitimacy of the West, notably the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), led by the United States. These wars are not the cause of this drop in legitimacy, but they have accelerated the decline in the legitimacy of the NATO countries, particularly in the Global South.
Since the start of the Third Great Depression in 2007, the Global North has slowly lost its control over the world economy, over technology and science, and over raw materials. Billionaires in the Global North deepened their “tax strike” and withdrew a large share of social wealth into tax havens and into unproductive financial investments. This left the Global North with few instruments to maintain economic power, including by making investments in the Global South. That role was slowly taken up by China, which has been recycling global profits into infrastructural projects across the world. Rather than contest China’s Belt and Road Initiative, for instance, through its own commercial and economic project, the Global North has sought to militarize its response with massive spending (three-quarters of global military spending is by the NATO states). The Global North has used Ukraine and Taiwan as levers to provoke Russia and China into military conflicts so as to ‘weaken’ them rather than contest growing Russian energy power and Chinese industrial and technological power through trade and development.
It is clear to the majority of people in the world that it is the Global North that has failed to address the crises in the world, whether the climate crisis or the consequences of the Third Great Depression. It has tried to substitute a language of euphemism for reality, using terms such as “democracy promotion,” “sustainable development,” “humanitarian pause,” and—from UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron and Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock—the ridiculous formulation of a “sustainable ceasefire.” Empty words are no substitute for real actions. To speak of a “sustainable ceasefire” while arming Israel or to speak of “democracy promotion” while backing anti-democratic governments now defines the hypocrisy of the Global North’s political class.
The Israelis say that they will continue this genocidal war for as long as it takes. As each day goes by of this war, the legitimacy of Israel deteriorates. But behind that violence itself is the much deeper end of the legitimacy of the NATO project, whose sanctimonies sound like nails being dragged across a bloodied chalkboard. The recent attacks on Yemen by US and British military forces are not about protecting international shipping lanes. Nor are they about protecting imperial troops in lands where they are not wanted and don’t belong. Simply put, they are about supporting Israel’s murderous slaughter in Gaza and maintaining US imperialism’s faltering control of the region the empire calls the middle east. If Washington and London were truly interested in protecting the shipping lanes in question, they would demand a ceasefire in Gaza and work towards implementing it. If Washington was interested in protecting US forces, it would remove those forces from Iraq, Syria and every other nation they are not welcome...

By supporting Israel’s atrocities in Gaza, the West has shredded what remains of its credibility and brought the ‘rules-based’ world order it purports to lead to the point of no return
