Pope Francis relieved a conservative bishop from his post, in an extremely rare move for the Vatican. The one-line announcement came from the supreme pontiff himself, simply saying that he had relieved Bishop Joseph Strickland of the pastoral governance of Tyler, Texas.
Strickland, 65, has been a consistent critic of Francis, specifically for the pope’s leftward bent compared to previous leaders of the Church. He has accused Francis of “undermining the deposit of faith” and heavily criticized a closed-door Vatican meeting that tackled controversial issues, including LGBTQ+ Catholics and women in the governance of the Church. While the month’s long meeting did not result in any significant changes to Catholic doctrine, Strickland was angry that the issues were being discussed at all, calling it a “travesty.”
“Regrettably, it may be that some will label as schismatics those who disagree with the changes being proposed. Instead, those who would propose changes to that which cannot be changed seek to commandeer Christ’s Church, and they are indeed the true schismatics,” Strickland wrote in a public letter in August...

Speaking during a press conference after Pope Francis met separately with Palestinians and Israeli relatives of captives in Gaza, Shireen Awwad Hilal said the religious leader used the term “genocide”.
“When we shared the stories of the families that have been killed [in Gaza] he mentioned ‘I see the genocide’,” said Hilal, who teaches at the Bethlehem Bible College.
“It was very clear, the word ‘genocide’ did not come from us. It came from his holiness, Pope Francis,” she said, adding that all 10 Palestinian attendees heard him use the word.
But a statement sent by Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni, in response to a question texted by a reporter, said the opposite.
“I am not aware that he [the pope] used such a word. He used terms that he expressed during the general audience and words that in any case represent the terrible situation that is being lived out in Gaza,” Bruni’s statement said, according to Reuters news agency. Imagine my shock. E.

Kingston also has been following the so-called “Pandemic Agreement” being pushed by the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO). Kingston says, “They are working on the Pandemic Agreement, and they say they are not going to have any regard for human rights. 140 nations have come back and say we have amendments we want to make to it. . . . They also want to manufacture the vaccines...and they want a piece of the profits...Bill Gates, Pfizer and the US government do not want to give up royalties, and I think they don’t want people to know what they were injected with. In this situation, I think greed may be good to quote Gordon Gekko.”
