Sorry Cassandra I misunderstood Now the last day is dawning Some of us wanted but none of us would Listen to words of warning But on the darkest of nights Nobody knew how to fight And we were caught in our sleep Sorry Cassandra I didn't believe You really had the power I only saw it as dreams you would weave Until the final hour

"I wrote the Trip in 1963 when I was in San Quentin. Whenever guys would gather like on the weekends, in the yard, in your cell, or wherever they might be, any time a group of guys would get together, one guy would invariably say to another guy "Hey, Louie, take us on a trip."
And so-there's nothing else to do, you know, and you are very lonesome. You don't have your woman, you don't have any freedom, you're just there, with a bunch of men, and all these things become magnified. The things that you took for granted as a free person, once you become locked up they become more and more important, and you begin dreaming about those things, just anything, just the idea of being able to walk out of the door and just walk and turn left or right, or just to be free, to be able to walk and breathe. Things other people don't even think about, you know, just become the most important things in the world.
Ando so, someone would say, "Louie, take us on a trip". If he felt like taking you on a trip, he would, and you'd get to the point where you always would do it because you could pass time and relive experiences that way. So you'd start telling about some experience that you had, you know, robbery that you pulled or a woman that you had, or some special junk that you might have had, that was rally exceptional, or a time you got busted, or something in your past life that was interesting.
And the guys became great storytellers because of this. Everyone in the joint, practically, at the drop of a hat could just talk and talk and talk, for hours-and they are all listening. You'd look at the guys in there, like one guy might have his eyes closed, and another guy's just staring off into space, and they're just living in the whole thing with you. You talk about a women that you love and you describe like your whole sexual think, the whole sexual trip that you went on, from the beginning to the end, just like a book, like a novel, and it's so real that everybody lives their own thing and in place of a woman that you're talking about, they substitute their woman, you know, and they live this way. That's how you survive; otherwise you'd go completely crazy.
I realized that these conversational trips, storytelling trips, were like playing jazz. Like when you play jazz you go on a trip, from the beginning of the chorus to the end of the chorus. The person with the most experience and the most knowledge of words, the person who could paint the best word picture, was the best storyteller, and it's the same with music. The guy that has the best background as far as technical ability on the horn, the tone, the guy who has lived-like the more that he's lived, the more he has to say and the more he can draw from inside of himself, out of his heart, or out of his soul, or whatever you want to call it.
When I play, my hands and my mouth are not hands and mouth, they are nothing but an extension of me, and the horn is the means instead of a voice. The sound that comes out of this things, this piece of metal is just me saying these things and taking people on a trip. So I wrote this melody, and six-eight time fit itself to my mood. And that's how I wrote The Trip. Whenever I played it, it has kind of a distant, sad, heart-rending type feel to it, you know, but yet it's swinging and it's a joyful in a sad type of way. In its own way, in its own sadness it's happy and beautiful.
Every time I play it, it's like taking someone on the trip.
And if the rhythm section is really right and together, the way it is on this record, then it's like a trip for everyone, like everyone is on this trip-thinking and looking off into space, except they're doing it with sounds." -Art Pepper

Repetita iuvant:
Thousands March Against Covid Vaccine Mandates in NYC here & here
"...We are at the edge of history, in a global society where there is great suffering and injustice because of the widespread commitment to getting the entire population jabbed with COVID vaccines that the government claims are safe. As shown below, in truth there is ever-increasing deaths and harmful health impacts from all the COVID vaccines. But governments do not give credence to the many awful health impacts of the vaccines, no matter how many esteemed physicians and medical researchers present evidence for stopping vaccination efforts.
The political and medical establishments keep using the same insensitive argument. No matter how many people die from the vaccines – often within days of getting jabbed – those in power proclaim that more lives are saved from using the vaccines against COVID than are lost due to them. So many thousands of people worldwide have died from the jabs, probably 100,000 or more based on data from CDC, the European Union, and other nations. But negative vaccine impacts are largely ignored by big media, the public health system, and authoritarian politicians. Sneaking into the public limelight are some famous people dying from the shots from the realms of sports, entertainment, and politics. But these are easily forgotten or ignored. Or seen as exceptions, statistically speaking.
In our quickly evolving vaccine dystopia, the vaccinated are granted many rewards and the unvaccinated are shamed, castigated, and bullied. We have not yet reached the critical inflection point where the many medical voices against vaccines (given below) prevail. Their voices are suppressed by big media; their medical science arguments and data are ignored. The result is that most of the population remains victims and slaves to massive propaganda about the benefits of vaccines. Ignored are not only the ill vaccine effects but also the enormous financial benefits obtained by makers of vaccines. Medical experts are unable to win the battle despite their science-based critiques of the vaccines. Yet what else can they do than to keep offering their expert medical advice?
Insanity is often defined as maintaining behavior that is proven wrong, destructive, and unhealthy. In our nascent vaccine dystopia, those with power keep pushing more vaccinations even as the death toll and harmful health impacts keep mounting, and vaccine effectiveness shrinks. Keep pushing more shots as if a magical solution to COVID will emerge. Medical experts say it will not. COVID will never be completely eradicated. Proven cheap, safe, and effective treatments using generic medicines like ivermectin must be seen as safe and effective alternatives to vaccines.
Perhaps over time vaccine-induced deaths and serious adverse health impacts will become so visible that the powerful vaccine machine will grind to a halt. Why? Because authoritarian and dystopian societies eventually collapse. However, only after incredible numbers of people have died and suffered. The many anti-vaccine medical experts cited below will have little pleasure from being ignored and criticized for so long only, eventually, to be seen as correct. Some kind of revolution is needed to overturn the multi-pronged vaccine empire.
Below are data, scientific judgements, and new studies and analyses that present compelling evidence against mass COVID vaccination. This is all we can do right now to fight vaccine dystopia and nourish the needed revolution..."
