' In this article I examine the current state of the fight for hegemonic control between America on the one side, and Russia and China on the other. It is being fought on two fronts. Ukraine, the one in plain sight, is about to endure a winter without power and adequate food potentially leading to a humanitarian crisis. The other front is financial with America facing a coordinated attack by Russia and China on its dollar hegemony. The Russians are planning a replacement trade settlement currency, which if it succeeds, could unleash a flood of foreign-owned dollars onto the foreign exchanges. We have no way of knowing how advanced this plan is, but the indications point perhaps to a gold-based digital currency. Moscow establishing a new gold exchange, Asian central banks accumulating additional gold reserves, and Saudi Arabia seeking non-dollar payments for oil sales are all circumstantial evidence. As well as these plans, there has been an underlying shift away from a long-term everything financial bubble, with the prospect of higher interest rate levels in time. The reasons for foreign ownership of fiat dollars are diminishing, and a successful new Asian trade currency will only add to the dollar’s woes. Could this pressure compel America de-escalate Ukraine and sanctions against Russia? The argument to do so has become compelling. It is also a way to lower energy prices, giving central banks needed room for interest rate manoeuvre...'

ROTFLMAO '...Ursula von der Leyen presides over a criminal organization responsible for the death and destruction of manufactured “enemies” that do not threaten Europe. She is, in essence, calling for the freezing of Europeans dependent on natural gas from Russia at bargain basement prices and war without end or a perceivable exit. Psychopaths lie and wage war without compunction. Biden and his coterie of neocons and “humanitarian interventionists” have flatly stated there will be no peace until Zelensky and his ultranationalist psychopaths decide to negotiate with Putin. They have absolutely no incentive to do so, considering the manifest and irrational hatred of all things Russian...'

Now it has lost its entire industrial base for a lack of fuel to run it — self-Epsteined, shall we say, on the national scale — and faces not just a return to the medieval standard-of-living but also to the competitive savagery of many small nations soon to be fighting among themselves, making bad conditions worse. So sad. Euroland was a nice place to visit at the turn of the millennium and now the lights will blink out, like seeing a fond relative expire, eyes going vacant, on her deathbed.' '...And if Eva Kaili accepted, for 250,000.00 euros (which, being money, doesn’t make anyone rich), to defend everything that she told her voters she wasn’t defending, the question we must ask is the following: if Eva accepts such a thing coming from a country like Qatar, with the reservations that such an origin raises in the ordinary Europeans (and Americans), what won’t all the Evas of the European Parliament, Commission, Council and Governments accept, when the origins of such “support” come from a more, geographically speaking, reliable source? When, for example, they come from the other side of the Atlantic, from the USA?
What I mean is: if they are willing to sell themselves to Qatar, for a majority of reasons, their willingness to sell themselves to the Atlanticist axis is unlimited! Coming this request from any Atlantic Council, Clinton or Gates Foundation, and the whole interest of the peoples they claim to represent becomes instrumental to the interests of their perceivers, suddenly transformed into guardians. The truth is that, in the end, the imposed system works like a mafia: Once you get in, you’re not getting out… And if you get out, they decree your political, social and, even more important (for these people), economic death. You become “extreme” and then…
You don’t even need money! All it takes are invitations to teach, to write articles in top journals, to speak at international conferences, and to get into the political spin, which, sooner or later, will lead to an anticipated golden retirement, paid in kind, through a brutal retainer or a corporate position in any Golden Sachs board (let’s see Durão Barroso who was behaving as a cheerleader for the Iraq WMD’s war), in some Foundation or, at least, in some NGO funded by the National Endowment for Democracy, structure used by the owners of all this people to intervene in the most diverse areas of “civil society”, covertly molding and instrumentalizing the political, economic and social system, in order to respond exclusively to their needs...'

The Western elites hypocritically assured of their peaceful intentions, including the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, but in fact "in every possible way encouraged the neo-Nazis". Soledar, like Mariupol, had formidable defenses made even stronger by eight years of preparations. Besides over 200km of tunnels and mines, Soledar has a very large “promka” (industrial zone) which made advances very difficult and dangerous (a similar situation to what took place in Mariupol). The Wagner folks took all their sweet time going in slow and saving their forces. As always, you cannot spot the degradation of the NATO defenses until they suddenly crumble, which is what happened in the last 24 hours. According to several reports, the Ukronazi 46th airmobile brigade, one of the most elite Ukronazi unit has been basically wiped out. This is also significant. So what does this mean for the “big picture”?

'Big events reveal things that may have been in plain sight for a while, but they remained hidden for cultural or political reasons. The mortgage crisis of 2008 is a good example of something that was hidden in plain sight. The sub-prime corruption should have been obvious, but few people saw it. When the system started to lock up, everyone suddenly noticed the massive corruption. The signs were there for a long time, but it was the fear of collapse that forced everyone to face it.
We are seeing an example of this with the war in Ukraine. Europe has been a land run by ridiculous people for a long time, but it was concealed by tradition and the Global American Empire pretending that European “leaders” are serious people. The war has revealed that Europe is a farce. It is not a collection of countries operating in concert for the common good. It is a collection of territories of the Global American Empire run by provincial clodhoppers with no real power.
Baiting the Russians into war served no European interests. It is obviously bad for the people of Europe. There is nothing to be gained for them by this war. It is wrecking the economy and reducing the standard of living. It is not good for European business, which now finds itself uncompetitive due to the costs of war. Germany is now on a short path to de-industrialization. Given that the German economy is the heart of the European economy, this will harm all of Europe...'

Russia To Achieve Goals Of Special Operation –"Western attempts are futile," Zakharova
Chess Master Putin Is Moving Closer To Destroying The US Dollar [The real war is in currencies, not Ukraine]
'In the war between the western alliance and the Asian axis, the media focus is on the Ukrainian battlefield. The real war is in currencies, with Russia capable of destroying the dollar. So far, Putin’s actions have been relatively passive. But already, both Russia and China have accumulated enough gold to implement gold standards. It is now overwhelmingly in their interests to do so. From Sergey Glazyev’s recent article in a Russian business newspaper, it is clear that settlement of trade balances between members, dialog partners, and associate members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) optionally will be in gold. Furthermore, the Russian economy would benefit enormously from a decline in borrowing rates from current levels of over 13% to a level more consistent with sound money.
To understand the consequences, in this article the comparison is made between the western alliance’s fiat currency and deficit spending regime and the Russian-Chinese axis’s planned industrial revolution for some 3.8 billion people in the SCO family. China has a remarkable savings rate, which will underscore the investment capital for a rapid increase in Asian industrialisation, without inflationary consequences. With a new round of military action in Ukraine shortly to kick off, it will be in Putin’s interest to move from passivity to financial aggression. It will not take much for him to undermine the entire western fiat currency system — a danger barely recognised by a gung-ho NATO military complex...'

Ukraine war turns Russia into a nation of gold bugs
After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the country’s invasion of Ukraine last February, Natalia Smirnova's phone started ringing off the hook. The financial adviser's Russian clients were panicking. "Should I buy gold?" one asked her. "If worse comes to worst, at least I can bury it." That attitude was shared by many -- and turned Russia into an unexpected nation of gold bugs almost overnight. Demand for gold bars and coins last year grew faster in Russia than in any other country, rising to nearly five times the level of the previous year, according to data from the World Gold Council. While Russia has long been one of the world's largest gold producers, accounting for almost a tenth of global production, its retail investors have historically shunned the metal, partly due to a 20% value added tax on purchases of bars. People usually turned to dollars and euros during times of trouble. But that has all changed. "Private citizens are looking for a way to save money, and euros and dollars are in short supply, so the popularity of gold has surged," said Vitaly Nesis, chief executive of Polymetal, an Anglo-Russian gold producer. "As long as we experience geopolitical instability, the demand for gold may be significant." The switch to gold has been strongly encouraged by the Russian government...
China Buying Gold for a Very Important Reason
Of course, the Goldbugs always misinterpret a rally in gold. The buying coming from China is in preparation for war – not bullish gold for the sake of gold. I have warned that if war was coming, then you will see China start to sell off US Treasuries. You certainly do not fund your adversary’s war against yourself. China was buying aggressively during January, but they have backed off slightly. January was simply the standard 3-month reaction. The strong gold buying from China corresponded to China’s accelerated selling of U.S. Treasuries. China is not buying gold because they think it will rally. It is perfectly fine if the price declines and just consolidates. They know war is coming and they can no longer maintain their reserves in dollars, euros, or yen no less than anyone else in the West – it all must go! Gold offers a non-political affiliation – neutrality. This is not buying gold as if it were an investment. We have completely different motives going on. Our own model warns that by 2032, there will be no United States acting as the reserve currency. The Biden Administration has done everything perfectly to destroy the world economy and the sad part about it, these morons do not even understand what they have done.
Tony, a reader, sent in a question. Message: “Mr. Armstrong what do you make of attorney general Merrick Garland’s recent approval to seize all of Russia’s assets that had been frozen in the United States to be given to the Ukraine?” Garland is violating every principle of international law. Denying Due Process of Law which comes from the Bible. When Cain killed Abel, God summoned him and gave him an opportunity to be heard, despite the fact he knew what he did. That is Due Process of Law – the right to be heard. What Garland is doing is outright unconstitutional and it is Treason to the foundation of every principle upon which this nation was founded. The right to be heard resides in both the Sixth Amendment as well as the Fourteenth Amendment. A right to hearing entails that an individual maintains and be afforded the legal right to be heard in the venue of a court of law with adequate due process attached. Garland has shown he is violating the Civil Rights Act and is unworthy of holding any office whatsoever. If he were not in charge of the Department of Justice, he would be criminally prosecuted under 18 U.S.C. § 241. 18 U.S.C. § 241 Section 241 makes it unlawful for two or more persons to agree to injure, threaten, or intimidate a person in the United States in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States or because of his or her having exercised such a right. You cannot take anyone’s assets without Due Process of Law – PERIOD!
The confiscation of Russian assets is a clear violation of international law. They are including money confiscated from individuals as well. The destruction of NordStream was an act of economic warfare. These are acts that demonstrate what I have been saying – this is a war to DESTROY Russia. That is why Zelensky has instructed no peace negotiations. This has been planned for the fake Minsk Agreement. The West wanted to conquer Russia and they are prepared to see every Ukrainian die to weaken Russia so they will then send in Poland with tanks to conquer Moscow.
We are the aggressor. This is a Climate Change War and the end goal is a New World Order with one government. The current monetary system is collapsing. I believe Schwab’s Great Reset is our 2032. He knows our model. He realizes it is all collapsing. He is out to push it in his direction when the tree of liberty falls. The current administration of the United States is out of control. It is destroying everything that we have worked for generations since World War II and it now even supports the nazis we once fought against. -Martin Armstrong

thanks b.... this is critical information that has been and continues to be suppressed in the west, and for obvious reasons... it completely destroys the myth that russia invaded ukraine... thank you... Posted by: james | Feb 13 2023 16:57 utc
In early 2022 Ukraine had finished the preparations for an overwhelming attack on the renegade People Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk (DPR and LNR). Half of the Ukrainian army, some 120,000 men recruited and trained during the last 7 years, were stationed near the ceasefire line and ready to go. On the opposing side only some 40,000 men were under arms. They would have little chance to withstand an onslaught. Russia could not let a Ukrainian attack happen. If Ukraine could regain the renegade provinces it would have been able to join NATO. Russian public opinion was decisively on the side of the Russian speaking DNR and LPR. It would surely demand an intervention. Since the 2014 coup in Kiev some four million Ukrainians had already moved to Russia. There are lots of family ties between the two countries. In sight of this Russia had put some of its own forces on alert and had moved weapons and munition to assembling points near the Ukrainian border. The U.S. had for months warned of an upcoming Russian attack on Ukraine. It could do that because it knew the Ukraine would attempt to regain the republics by force. It knew that Russia would have to respond...

Quelle New York Times sues EU over von der Leyen’s Pfizer texts

As global financial systems fail, cornered policy makers and openly politicized media platforms are historically skilled at hiding their failures behind an intentional omission of context and objective facts. Piepenburg discusses this deliberate (and dangerous) omission of context in six broad yet openly obvious “tricks” currently in use, namely: Fudging the Math–from CPI “data” to unemployment statistics; Redefining the Facts—as evidenced by the redefining of a “recession” in 2022; Omitting the Obvious—by downplaying fatal debt levels to the back rather than front page; Desperate Attention on “Good News” While Ignoring the Bad—by boasting of billion-dollar “reductions” in the Fed balance sheet or M2 money supply but ignoring the multi-trillion-dollar expansion of both supply metrics in prior years; Absence of Open Debate/Alternative Views—by showcasing the “warm and fuzzy” but ignoring the hidden facts on everything from the war in the Ukraine to the dark side of CBDC; Fear & War as Political Tools—by deliberately distracting the masses from fatal (and self-inflicted) debt, inflation, market and currency risks while placing the blame on an Eastern “bad guy,” viruses or global warming.
