A downgrade in a country’s credit rating can indicate increased sovereign risk. Gold is considered a non-sovereign asset, meaning it is not directly impacted by the financial health of any single country.

The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree is found in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 13:6-9). This parable, told by Jesus, is about a man who had a fig tree planted in his vineyard. When he came looking for fruit on it and found none, he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I have been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’ However, the vineyard keeper asked for patience, suggesting to leave it for one more year, during which he would dig around it and fertilize it. If it bore fruit next year, fine; if not, then it could be cut down.
This is one of my favorite parables. You can feel the masculine energy and even frustration Jesus had leaping off of the page when you read this. The interplay between the vineyard owner and the gardener symbolizes a balance between justice (cutting down the tree) and mercy (giving it more time). Jesus, in his earthly ministry, often embodied this balance. He was compassionate yet unwavering in his commitment to righteousness – traits that align with a holistic understanding of masculine energy.
The patience of the vineyard keeper reflects God’s mercy. We are reminded that while consequences are real, so is God’s patience. He desires us to turn towards what is good and life-giving, rather than face the negative consequences of our actions.
The expectation of the fig tree to bear fruit can be seen as a metaphor for our own lives. We are expected to bear fruit in terms of good deeds, ethical behavior, and positive contributions to our community. There is an element of accountability in how we live and use the resources and opportunities we are given.
The potential of the fig tree being cut down if it failed to produce fruit emphasizes the urgency of taking action in our lives. It serves as a reminder that opportunities may not last forever and that there is a need to act decisively and make the most of the time we have.
Just as the vineyard keeper offered to nurture the tree with care and attention, we are reminded of the importance of nurturing our spiritual lives. This can involve engaging in practices that foster spiritual growth, such as prayer, studying God’s Word, and being part of a faith community.
The parable encourages self-examination. We can ask ourselves: What kind of fruit are we bearing in our lives? Are we contributing positively to the lives of others? Are we living in a way that aligns with our values and beliefs?
The fig tree was given an additional year to bear fruit, symbolizing God’s patience and willingness to give us time to change and grow. This teaches us the value of repentance and personal growth, reminding us that we often receive second chances to correct our ways and produce positive outcomes in our lives.
This parable can also be interpreted as a metaphor for Israel’s spiritual condition at the time of Jesus. The fig tree represents Israel, and its lack of fruit symbolizes Israel’s failure to live up to its calling as God’s people, particularly in terms of righteousness and justice. The three years of seeking fruit may represent the duration of Jesus’ ministry, during which he sought spiritual fruit among the people of Israel.
The intercession of the vineyard keeper reflects God’s mercy and patience, offering Israel more time to repent and produce the expected fruits of righteousness. This additional year of care and attention could represent the period leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, a fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecies about the end of the age, where God gave Israel one full generation to repent and follow Jesus.
In this view, the eventual cutting down of the tree if it remains fruitless symbolizes the judgment that would come upon Israel if it failed to repent—a judgment that culminated with the events of AD 70, including the siege and destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by the Romans.
Thus, the parable serves as a warning about the consequences of failing to live up to God’s expectations and as a call to repentance and spiritual renewal.
May we learn from it and bear fruit. -Andrew Torba CEO, Gab.com

Health Ranger: 'To all conservative and pro-liberty influencers: Don't you dare talk about FREEDOM ever again if you won't support freedom for the Palestinian people. If you don't support freedom for others, you don't deserve it for yourself. And for those who have long claimed to be supporters of “free speech” but who now demand censorship of all criticism of Israel, you are a FRAUD. You never believed in free speech in the first place.'
'If you support Israel in 2023, you also would have supported the Third Reich in 1939. They both make the same arguments, using almost identical propaganda, lies and censorship, to exterminate an ethnic group they decry as sub-human animals. “Never again,” it turns out, just meant, “until we have the power to commit genocide ourselves.” SHAME on all who remain silent as another ethnic cleansing atrocity unfolds in real time, right before our eyes. And for those deceived Christian Zionists who think GOD told you to slaughter in His name, rest assured that Christ does not recognize you at all.'

'...The story of Christmas is the story of a poor woman, nine months pregnant, and her husband forced to leave their home in Nazareth in northern Galilee. The occupying Roman power has demanded they register for the census 90 miles away in Bethlehem. When they arrive there are no rooms. She gives birth in a stable. King Herod - who learned from the Magi of the birth of the messiah - orders his soldiers to hunt down every child two years old and under in Bethlehem and the vicinity and murder them. An angel warns Joseph in a dream to flee. The couple and infant escape under the cover of darkness and make the 40-mile journey to Egypt.
I was in a refugee camp in the early 1980s for Guatemalans who had fled the war into Honduras. The peasant farmers and their families, living in filth and mud, their villages and homes burned or abandoned, were decorating their tents with strips of colored paper to celebrate the Massacre of the Innocents.
“Why is this such an important day?” I asked.
“It was on this day that Christ became a refugee,” a farmer answered.
The Christmas story was not written for the oppressors. It was written for the oppressed. We are called to protect the innocents. We are called to defy the occupying power. Atef, Refaat and those like them, who speak to us at the risk of death, echo this Biblical injunction. They speak so we will not be silent. They speak so we will take these words and images and hold them up to the principalities of the world — the media, politicians, diplomats, universities, the wealthy and privileged, the weapons manufacturers, the Pentagon and the Israel lobby groups — who are orchestrating the genocide in Gaza. The infant Christ is not lying today in straw, but a pile of broken concrete.
Evil has not changed down the millenia. Neither has goodness.' The Cost of Bearing Witness

-Giovanni 3,8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. -John 3:8
You cannot see the wind. You can only see its effect on the material that gets blown about by it. You cannot actually hear wind either unless it is acting on an object in its way. The normal way to see the movement of the Holy Spirit of God is by his effect on those with whom he comes in contact. He is in charge of where he goes and what he does.
We are called to rely on, walk in, and be obedient to the Holy Spirit. Those of us who are born of the Spirit should feel constant gratitude for God’s mercy on us in salvation, empowerment, and leading. That he has regenerated us is nothing short of a gift of pure mercy.

- Apocalisse 18 21-24
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, 'Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!' - John 2:13-16
Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, 'Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and lshall not be found anymore. The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.'- Revelation 18:21-24

Holy Saturday commemorates the day that Jesus Christ lay in the tomb after His death on the Cross. Today is a day of remembrance, reflection, and meditation. A day of remembering that there is no victory without experiencing the Cross first; a solemn time of hope, reflection and preparation…for victory. Take some time today and for the remainder of this week/end to prayerfully mediate on these 3 Bible Verses for Reflection and Meditation on Holy Saturday. While difficult to imagine what happened to our Lord, the graces that come from meditating and reflecting upon this event are transformative for our mind, our life, and our soul. Matthew 27:57-66 John 19:38-42 1 Peter 4:1-8

Easter Day: Resurrection Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Up from the Grave He Arose!
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him." Then Peter and the other disciple set out and went toward the tomb. The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down to look in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb. He saw the linen wrappings lying there, and the cloth that had been on Jesus' head, not lying with the linen wrappings but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead. -John 20:1-9
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God! When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. -Colossians 3, 1-4
May the light of the Resurrection always illuminate your path toward righteousness. Christ always warms you in good deeds. Let’s join forces in the name of creative works in ending wars and conflicts for whatever reasons there may be, wherever they may occur, and help deliver peace to humanity.
E' Pasqua!
-Col 3,1-4
Hæc est victoria, quæ vincit mundum: fides nostra. E così sia.
Eugène Burnand 1850 – 1921 Peter and John Running to the Tomb oil on canvas (82 × 134 cm) — 1898 Musée d'Orsay, Paris. The full title is The Disciples Peter and John Running to the Sepulchre on the Morning of the Resurrection. It is Burnand's best-known work. The French state acquired it when it was shown at the Salon de de la Société nationale des beaux-arts in 1898.
The work does not even show the risen Jesus. It merely portrays two witnesses, Jesus’ oldest and youngest apostle. The youngest who was the only man brave enough to stay by Jesus’ cross and the only one who did not die a martyr’s death as a result of it. The oldest apostle who first denied Jesus in fear, yet ultimately chose to be crucified upside down by the Roman authorities rather than deny Christ’s resurrection. In “The Disciples Peter and John Running to the Sepulchre on the Morning of the Resurrection” by Eugène Burnand, John clasps his hand in prayer while Peter holds his hand over his heart. The viewer feels the rush as their hair and cloaks fly back with the wind. They are sprinting towards discovery of the moment that forever altered heaven and earth. As you look at it, engage for a moment in what the Catholic blogger Bill Donaghy calls “the visual equivalent of Lectio Divina.” As Donaghy notes, “This Resurrection scene does not put us before still figures near a stagnant stone, or figures standing with stony faces in a contrived, plastic posture, pointing to an empty tomb. This scene is dynamic; we are in motion.”
During his time, Burnand was fascinated by the possibilities of the emerging art of photography. Ironically, he would later be dismissed in the twentieth century as too “bourgeois” and anti-modernist when in fact he was merging his love of tradition with his interest in new technological ways of capturing the human person. His painting feels cinematic long before cinema existed as a major art form.
Apart from Jesus’ mother, no other three participants capture the closeness of Jesus’ encounter with humankind quite like John, Peter and Mary of Magdala. Their interactions with Christ embody a relationship to God previously unimaginable to mankind. Jesus turning to Peter as they sit by the fire and asking three times, “Do you love me?”, thereby washing away the sin of the three denials past; Christ turning to John in the midst of his suffering and saying, “Behold, your mother,” giving her to the Church entire. And, of course, the beautiful moment about to transpire in which Jesus’ merely says Mary’s name and she recognizes Him with a cry of “Rabbouni!” They are the moments which cause one to wonder how those who truly hate Christianity (not merely disbelief it) can remain so hostile to its narrative beauty.
Look into Peter’s wide open eyes and John’s intense gaze. Their eyes contain a mix of anxiousness and hope, the way a parent or grandparent’s eyes look at the news of an impending birth. A new life is about to emerge, but there is still uncertainty because it is a mystery beyond full human comprehension or control. Peter and John’s faces capture the same sense of anticipation.
Burnand created a sparse, simple painting capturing two of the most important players in the greatest story ever told. Meditate upon their faces as Burnand intended you to do and through them discover the empty tomb.
Through the movement and immediacy of the scene, the preceding minutes with Mary Magdalene are palpable. In a sense, she is in the painting too. “You can almost hear her voice in the background, can you not, a few minutes earlier, as she burst into their house…” writes the Episcopal Bishop Dorsey McConnell in an Easter sermon meditating on the painting. -Elise Ehrhard

Preparation is up to each of us, not our leaders
Matthew Piepenburg, squarely addresses the financial, market, currency and central bank forces which evidence an embarrassing disconnect between markets at blow-off tops and a Main Street economy openly blowing away…In this backdrop, the direction and role of gold is now undeniably significant.
Piepenburg opens by distinguishing a rising market from a so-called “resilient” economy by citing recessionary facts and math against the so-called “full employment” and “robust GDP” public narrative. Piepenburg sees a dangerously narrow S&P “ripping” in a Pavlovian response to promises of 2024 rate cuts and what he describes as “backdoor QE” trending toward direct QE to “save” broke(n) credit markets at the expense of the USD. These facts explain gold’s secular move north. As for markets, once net-income margins in the S&P 5 transition from expansion to contraction, stocks will fall in the backdrop of a global rather than regional recession, which makes the current bubble far more dangerous than prior market reversals/mean-reversions in 2000 or 2008.
Piepenburg cites the lessons of math (trillions in debt-based “growth”) and history (from 18th century France to today) to plainly reveal what Hemingway described as the sad transition from “temporary prosperity to permanent ruin” via an historically repeated template of debasing the currency (inflation) and going to war (proxy or direct) to distract a centralized public from the debt failures of their weak leaders. Toward this end, Piepenburg addresses all the forces destroying the USD (debt, de-dollarization, petrodollar shifts, example after example of hidden, “backdoor” QE, record-high T-Bill issuance and unlimited yet hidden leverage permission by the big banks to buy unloved government debt off the Fed’s balance sheet).
Piepenburg makes an open joke of “reported inflation” and gets to the honest data to explain why the US needs a weaker USD. Gold, of course, is rising, and will continue to rise, simply because the USD is now, and will continue to be, inherently weaker, regardless of its relative strength. Again: “It’s common sense” colliding with the lessons of basic math & history.
The discussion closes with the unspoken danger (and current reality) of increased centralization, grotesque wealth inequality and less freedoms, the evidence of which is sadly everywhere. Is there a “way out” of currency debasement, economic risk and continued social unrest? Piepenburg is not so hopeful, as leadership today, across the world, is largely devoid of basic honesty, economic savvy or a respect for history.

Bill’s Commentary:
Recently I have fielded several e-mails asking about selling gold and silver to wait for a pullback. While a pullback seems surely warranted, there is huge risk in trying to trade at this juncture. We are in the end game already, what is happening is multigenerational and global. We are witnessing the end of Dollar dominance with a fiat “competitive” devaluation across the board. We are witnessing end of empire! The danger of being cute and trying to time a trade here is enormous. You must be “:in place” when the music stops, which it mathematically will. If you have taken profit and intend to trade, what happens if (when) the system breaks and gold nor silver are even available for purchase? Your “profit” will be sitting in a bank/broker, and will be bailed in. So you lose your cash and sold someone else your ounces? THIS is the rally you cannot afford to sell. You presumably bought metal to get your capital out of the system, if you purchased to make “dollars” as profit, then this brief article is not for you. Please remember this, in a very short time, you will be counting your net worth in ounces, not dollars.
Be your own Central Bank!

Accept whatever is brought upon you, and in changes that humble you be patient. For gold is tested in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of humiliation. -Sirach II 4:5
-Siracide II 4:5
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash. -Matthew 7:21-27
-Matteo 7,21:27
