Why are some people better at drawing than others? Interesting reading, I am awful at drawing and have no interest in getting better, my talents are elsewhere mainly in the fields of computing and science. I am of the opinion one should stick to what they are good at. This article seems to give hope to those of us without artistic talent, but I have no interest in setting out t moreover my drawing skills. However, to each his own as they say. I do find value in improving some things I am not good at, but drawing is not on that list and I am happy to continue drawing stick figures or not draw at all, actually. On any event this is an interesting article about how the brain can adapt and learn new things, which indeed is something I think is worthwhile to do.

For seven years the world has operated under a complete delusion that Central Banksters somehow fixed the 2008 Crisis. All of the arguments claiming this defied common sense. A 5th grader would tell you that you cannot solve a debt problem by issuing more debt. Similarly, anyone with a functioning brain could tell you that a bunch of academics with no real-world experience, none of whom have ever started a business or created a single job can’t “save” the economy. However, there is an AWFUL lot of money at stake in believing these lies. So the media and the banks and the politicians were happy to promote them. Indeed, one could very easily argue that nearly all of the wealth and power held by those at the top of the economy stem from this fiction. So it’s little surprise that no one would admit the facts: that the Fed and other Central Banks not only don’t have a clue how to fix the problem, but that they actually have almost no incentive to do so.
1) The REAL problem for the financial system is the bond bubble. In 2008 when the crisis hit it was $80 trillion. It has since grown to over $100 trillion. 2) The derivatives market that uses this bond bubble as collateral is over $555 trillion in size. 3) Many of the large multinational corporations, sovereign governments, and even municipalities have used derivatives to fake earnings and hide debt. NO ONE knows to what degree this has been the case, but given that 20% of corporate CFOs have admitted to faking earnings in the past, it’s likely a significant amount. 4) Corporations today are more leveraged than they were in 2007. As Stanley Druckenmiller has noted, in 2007 corporate bonds were $3.5 trillion… today they are $7 trillion: an amount equal tot nearly 50% of US GDP. 5) The Central Banks are now all leveraged at levels greater than or equal to Lehman Brothers was when it imploded. The Fed is leveraged at 78 to 1. The ECB is leveraged at over 26 to 1. Lehman Brothers was leveraged at 30 to 1. 6) The Central Banks have no idea how to exit their strategies. Fed minutes released from 2009 show Janet Yellen was worried about how to exit when the Fed’s balance sheet was $1.3 trillion. Today it’s over $4.5 trillion. Today, Central Bankers are now actively punishing depositors and bond holders with negative interest rates. Globally, over $10 trillion in debt currently have negative yields in nominal terms, meaning the bond literally has a negative yield when it trades. In the simplest of terms this means that investors are PAYING to own these bonds. Bonds are not unique in this regard. Switzerland, Denmark and other countries are now charging deposits at their banks. In France and Italy, you are not allowed to make cash transactions above €1,000. So if get fed up with the banks and want to pull your money out, you cannot. We are heading for a crisis that will be exponentially worse than 2008. The global Central Banks have literally bet the financial system that their theories will work. They haven’t. All they’ve done is set the stage for an even worse crisis in which entire countries will go bankrupt. -Graham Summers

"...One of the most unexamined aspect of the Covid-19 pandemic is the human psychology of risk assessment and fear. The default human response to novel threats such as the Covid-19 virus is denial and abstraction: it can't happen here, it won't happen to me, it's no big deal, etc..." what's your red line number?
As 19th century German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer claimed, “All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as self-evident.” After weeks of denial, and attacks on voices like Peak Prosperity who dared question the “Everything is fine!” narrative, world governments and their mass media partners are finally admitting that the coronavirus threat is real and serious... "...When everything collapses at the same time the primary need will be food. The disruption of transportation and distribution systems will create a nation of very desperate people that may be capable of anything. When the distribution of food stops the only way to feed yourself is to already have food stores and/or the ability to grow your own. The worst time for a collapse of the food system is in the fall and winter months. During the spring and summer months it is possible to grow some food locally just about anywhere but when the weather turns cold, if you do not already have food stores or a winter garden in place, you are more likely to starve. The winter weather will not only prevent local food production in most areas of the country but the lack of systems to provide fuel and keep the roads clear of snow and ice can prevent the relocation of people to other areas making them prisoners wherever they are. People will be without food at the time of year when their bodies need even more to keep warm..." More here

Don't Get Hooked Chapter XIV
"The continuous attempts by the MSM to label Independent and conservative media as "conspiracy" theorists, pounding that message every single day in their headlines. Their attitudes always implies that if the liberal establishment media hasn't "confirmed" the news, it really isn't news. Then they ignore the topic an Independent Media outlet is reporting on, until the time they all collude to attack the specific target, claiming that news is "fake." Months later, the MSM "discovers" the story and reports on it like they just performed actual journalism. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. In some cases, liberal hosts are so tone-deaf and full of hubris they say the quiet part out loud, like it is their "job" to "control" what the "people think."...

So, there they are. Five of the most critical pieces of psychological research ever done, hopefully going forward nobody will be left in the dark when these concepts or experiments are referenced. But the point of this article is not to just make you, the reader, understand these experiments…it is also meant to remind you that they do. The people in charge, the elite, the 1%, “The Party”. The powers that be – or shouldn’t be – whatever you want to call them. They know these experiments. They have studied them. They’ve probably replicated them countless times on grand scales and in unethical ways we can barely imagine. Who knows exactly what takes place in the dank dark dungeons of the deep state? Just remember, they know how the human mind works. They know they can make people do anything if they reassure them they won’t be held responsible. They know that they can rely on people to abuse any power they’re given, OR believe they are powerless if they’re treated that way. They know that peer pressure will change a lot of people’s minds even in the face of undeniable reality, especially if you make them feel completely alone. They know that if you offer people only a small reward for completing a task, they will make up their own psychological justification for taking it. They know that people will mindlessly do whatever everyone else is doing without ever asking for a reason. And they know that people will happily believe something that never happened if it is repeated often enough.
They know all of this. And they use that knowledge all the time – All. The. Time. Every commercial you see, every article you read, every movie they release, every item on the news, every “viral” social media post, every trending hashtag. Every war. Every pandemic. Every headline.
All of them are constructed with these principles in mind to elicit specific emotional reactions that steer your behaviour and beliefs. That’s how the media works, not to inform you, not to entertain you…but to control you. And they have it down to a science. Always remember that.

When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work; and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you; ...you may know that your society is doomed. Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand

'It's not too late to get involved in opposing Israel's assault on Gaza.
It doesn't matter if you haven't been talking about it until now. It doesn't matter if you haven't understood or paid attention to the Israel-Palestine conflict until now. It doesn't matter if you've been supportive of Israel in the past, or if you've expressed opinions on this subject that you now know were misguided, or if you've never engaged in any kind of activism before.
If that's the case for you, you need to understand that millions of people are on the exact same boat as you right now. MILLIONS. The actions of the state of Israel over the last three months have caused huge numbers of people not previously aware of its depravity to open their eyes to what's going on, do some research, and change their position.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with joining in with the opposition now. You can safely dismiss anything in you that feels self-conscious about not getting this until now, or feels like it would be inauthentic to join an activist cause after it has gained popularity. Changing your position and taking a stand now makes you MORE authentic, because it shows you are living a life guided by truth and compassion rather than sleepwalking through life guided by blind habit and partisan tribalism.
I guarantee you the people in Gaza would much rather have you than not have you, and losing your support over self-consciousness about joining in later than others did would be a very silly and unfortunate thing to happen. Moreover, you would definitely not be the last to join in this cause; millions more will be joining in after you as the Israeli regime loses support around the world and everyone starts waking up to what's happening in Gaza.
Please disregard anything in you that has been holding back from helping to facilitate that awakening in whatever small way you can, whether that might be due to shame for not getting involved sooner or due to any kind of cringe around activism and political engagement you may have had before. This thing is so much more important than any of us, and it's so much more important than any little feelings of self-consciousness we'd have about getting involved in ways we never would have imagined before. This matter is much too urgent for you to pay any attention to those misguided forces within you that are resistant to taking a stand here.
Take your stand. It will be welcomed, and you will be glad that you did for the rest of your life.' - Caitlin Johnstone
